Currently the best 32" LCD for the price By Arm&Hammer Pros: - Best part of this TV is the Over the Air (OTA) tuner to get free public broadcast TV stations. Used a paper-clip as the antenna and received over a dozen HD/digital stations with perfect reception in the Washington DC metro area without any dropouts. No cable for me, literally. - Excellent picture, especially after playing around with all color options. The color can be adjusted to anyone's preference, because it has separate color adjustments for red, blue, green, yellow, magenta and cyan, as well as, preset adjustments. 1080p display is great for graphics or if using it with a computer. I starred at a lot of 720p displays before ordering this one, for me, I can see better detail (especially background and graphics) with a 1080p display from 8' away. - Comes on in 2.5 seconds. Try timing how long it takes to turn on any other manufacturer or previous model year TVs. Channel changes almost instantaneous about 1-2 sec, great for channel surfing. With OTA HD/digital stations this was a challenge for a lot of TVs. - Sound quality is very good and loud if you need it. At 20% it's loud enough to fill a medium sized room. - Low price. If you search enough you can get it at a lower price than last year's 720p models on clearance or refurbished. Cons: - Specs on this TV are not always accurate, different specs. on Toshiba's website vs. owner's manual vs. on the box. For example when I weight my 32RV530U it is 26.5 pounds, which is better for me. I wonder what other specs are off. - Some fuzzyness with fast moving objects, maybe due to refresh rate (5-8ms)or 10 bit panel or 12 or 14 bit processor (listed in owner's manual. Whatever the true specs are this TV looks great either way for TV watching or used as a computer monitor. 24 of 25 people found the following review helpful. Very Pleased By N. Kamal I received the TV 3 days after ordering it from Beach Audio via Amazon. Arrived safe and sound, no dead pixels either. So far I am very pleased with the set. It took about 10 minutes to set up. As others have discussed it is a great looking set. I was hesitant to buy a TV with that black piano finish, because originally I thought it to be a little tacky, trendy and cheap looking. But Toshiba made it look good! It's nowhere near as shiny as I thought it would be. Now for the picture. It arrived with the picture set to "Sports" mode. This was too bright and over saturated for my taste. I switched to "Standard" mode and the colors are richer without being overly warm or loosing crispness. The set has a picture mode for "Movies" as well, and it really does give the display a movie-theateresque character. As for SD display, Id rate it at about 8/10. A relative's 42" 1080p Sony Bravia XBR displays these channels the same as or a little worse than the 32rv530u. Comcast HD movies on demand look incredible through the Motorola SCH3200 box with HDMI output. Overall, for this price, this is likely the best 32"-- and besides the Sharp, the only-- 1080p LCD on the market. I am anxiously awaiting my PS3 so I can bask in the glory of a 1080p signal. 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Excellent Picture By Tweaker I've owned this set for several weeks now and am very impressed by the overall picture quality. The images are sharp, the blacks are reasonably deep, the colors are well balanced, and there is no backlight bleeding. I recommend turning down the backlight to 50 or less (mine is at 40) to get the best picture. Sound quality is only mediocre but I use mine with a 5.1 surround system, so that is not a problem for me. I don't know how this set compares to Sony or Samsung because those sets will not fit in my cabinet, the Toshiba does - which is another plus for people with tight spaces. BTW, the dimensions given on the US web site for the set are incorrect - they slightly overstate the
