Vizio gets points for the commercialization of new technologies at low cost. But it is certainly not the case. First the good: the image is as sharp as my years of skepticism and resistance against blurry LCD (now DEL) was withdrawn TVs - very fine detail, clarity, brightness and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, incredible, no hardness or reflectivity. But there are big problems. * I've tried three of these units, and all had the same problems, none of which could also admit Vizio staff that they had heard (apart from updating the firmware, of course, as described below). First, usually the firmware version must be updated: the "last channel" button on the remote control and a random image format called "normal" is a small graphic in the center of the screen, click "Help" in the control and check the firmware version in "System Info" If it's something in verse. 1.49, vizio.com go and download and install the update M190MV accordance with the instructions online. The firmware patch became available in November 2010, but all three test sets - bought and exchanged between late December 2010 and late February 2011 - needs updating! Another error: information about the TV show is incomplete. Each click of the "e" on the remote reveals more about the program. However, game times and program lengths are random from channel to channel. Setting the internal clock of the TV has no effect. OTA or cable companies to the most basic piece of information in the signals include, but TV can not read. Vizio customer service was very ignorant and unhelpful (remember, I tried three identical televisions), which virtually everything is in flux, the channels are very slow and the remote is close directional, and floppy and very thin with Flush, which are difficult to press, not usually inaccurate or functional keys. Then there is the sound. A wafer-thin TV can not be expected to have a decent sound without resonance chamber, the sound resembles a transistor radio, around the 1965th No adjustment makes no difference in quality. The TV also has no external speaker outputs, and there is not enough power coming from the headphone jack (unfavorably located in the lower left corner on the back of the unit) to supply * * computer speakers drive. Even hooking analog L / R outputs of a DVD player powered speakers, and TV with a splitter is useless, because it involves a slight delay / echo each other (the first sound speakers to get for some reason), this is quite outrageous and unacceptable! The only way to get the audible sound is to connect the optical digital output to a separate amplifier or sound bar (hopefully); heavy persuasion marketing to roughly double the cost of the TV! None of the preset image rendering realistic (!) "Lively" is closest at first glance, but it's so intense and saturated, with 90% backlight, which burn the screen can happen anytime and visual details are distorted by the glare Setting "Custom", which can lead to madness. It includes an allowance for "color" - a new division of Red, Green and Blue to win, when you're far away as possible, the B & W is still false, and has a reddish / brown color (also disconnecting the three color components of a DVD component cable connection, which means that only the basic B & W signal) B & W DVD's are very unsatisfactory. Actually, even the colors are all by: blues is often purple, and at the same time, the faces are the * little * red and appear pale or greenish. I'm not sure how this contradictory combination is even possible. All this is compared with two well-adjusted 2003 Samsung (CRT or LCD computer monitor My). LED edge lighting is very bad back indeed designed. In all three units I tried, unless the brightness was absurdly hard as I could.
