The best customer reviews 35 of 38 people found this review helpful. Clear text, but ... By J. Elliott This is my first attempt on the LED screens. My 5 year old Samsung was a bit dark, so after reading lots of reviews and looking at many screens in stores, was my first choice of top-ranked Samsung BX2450. Unfortunately, too many problems with the monitor: the screen is tilted slightly to one side at the base, with the right edge about 1 / 4 "lower than the left, but adjustable viewing angle, unstable support, buttons very sensitive one. Very pronounced" sweet spot "for see, so I sent him back HP2511x read about online, and ordered it from Amazon to try Mechanically, the HP is far superior to the Samsung -.. secure fit and easy installation of parts, mounting kit Optional wall. clear instructions base is adjustable tilt, but not height . The controls are very functional and have a nice tactile feedback, unlike the Samsung, the four presets for movies, text, images and games are quite good. The menu system is intuitive, and it is easy to adjust the brightness to 50 - the screen was too bright for my taste when it was unpacked. Black text on white background, the picture quality is very good, especially when compared side by side with my old fluorescent lighting Samsung. The text is very clear and bright, no ghosting or color fringing at the edges. While the scrolling text at 150% magnification default font size in IE7 is superior to the old non-LED screen. The black background on boot / boot is uniform deep black, with only a small amount of backlight bleed along the bottom edge. White background screens are bright and generally quite uniform. But unlike the old non-LED Samsung, but since the LED Samsung BX2450, HP has viewing angle issues, which very clearly on a white background screens are not as bad as Samsung, and the sweet spot for viewing is more forgiving. But if the screen is on the counter in ergonomically recommended level compared to your eyes, they are at the bottom of the screen, a blue hue, and the icons on IE7 taskbar washed lighter blue and yellow colors, while having the upper portion of the screen very warmer look, especially with a white background. Standing on the desktop to give when talking on the phone and down to something that the white background, agua, and the text is hard to read. Similarly, head to move laterally more than a few inches from the center of the screen on the monitor seems hotter on the edge you move, and cooler at the edge, you're heading towards. Again, it is not nearly as pronounced as Samsung, but still noticeable. The only solution I've found is to raise the monitor 2 + cm above the table that puts the center of the screen at eye level and improves the color and tonality problems at the bottom of the screen. Not ideal, but greatly improved the image quality. What this means long term for my back and neck remains to be seen. I have an ASUS laptop with LED that is worse to the extent that this effect sweet spot, and looked at a number of LED displays in stores and agreed that this seems to be a feature of LED displays - some better than others. Interestingly, in three different stores, the LED displays were all at eye level or higher, while the non-LED models were generally below eye level. With movies or HDTV input of my tuner card in the question above is not visible, probably because I did not move my head so much as when I am looking into the use of text and reference books, taking notes or answering of phones. Movies / TV picture quality is very decent, with only a slightly lower color saturation than my Sony 42 "TV Games Photos are sharp and clear, but it's a little 'easier to notice changes color when it moves around your head when using photoshop. They are very clear and bright, e.
