By matching the prices of LCD TVs are quickly dropping, I decided it was time for my 5 year old 20 "Sharp EDTV replace and move to HD. A-side comparison showed that I made the right decision . LG picture quality is superior in almost every way. Pros ------ There are not many quality 26 "TVs out there and 26LV2500 is one of the best I've seen so far. -The picture is vivid and sharp and comparable to some mid-range 32 "non-LED backlit LCD I looked at the store. Response look good in my ögon.-Most 26" TV has 2 HDMI ports, LG The third LG is attractive with its glass-like bezel.Thin and light, with LEDs for backlighting. The intelligent-sensor works very well and is surprisingly usable. Menu system very well planned with useful features. Cons ------ Off angle is quite poor. Colour wash a little when I get up and visibly when they move to the sides of the LCD screen of my old Sharp was actually much better in this regard. Sharp-A uses a matte screen, LG has a bright screen in a bright room the picture is like a mirror, especially in dark scenes. Very annoying. Audio quality is as bad as expected and comparable to other TV this small and thin. Turning the bass all the way to the treble all the way and almost makes things bearable. Black-and levels of uniformity of the screen is expected for a TV in this age of light background with a bit of bleeding at the edges. Of course this is only noticeable on a black screen with the backlight set to maximum and no matter during normal use. In short ----------- The 26LV2500 is a feature packed, well designed TV with LED backlight. If you're in the market for a TV of 26 "can not go wrong with LG and will not be disappointed as long as you take into account their limitations. But if you have room for more than 32 "TV, there is a greater choice worth checking out here with LG, they pay more for LED backlighting and thinner frame, rather than image quality. Nice little TV for KJHarris was looking for a small LCD TVs in our guest room and decided on the LG 26LV2500. This seemed to offer the most features at the lowest price for the use which might - only when there were guests in our rooms. The set arrived very early in the MFG. original packaging and no damage to the box and everything was there. It was easy to install and configure. Since I was with a basic cable connection (no box), which only needed to connect the coaxial cable. The set of scanned and found all the digital channels from my cable provider, both HD and SD (No more broadcasts in my area). The picture is bright and clear (at least when viewed from the bed) and that "only" 720, it seems that good will (for me), that the two high that I the sound is certainly very well suited to use it, 1080p. All settings are easily accessible and provide inputs and there is much more that I need this set. I have a very old (not blueray) DVD player connected to the rise and composite input - it produces a beautiful picture with standard DVD. The only thing I was a bit strange the power supply. Rather than set the current directly from a 120V plug in power adapter into the outlet, one cord, which plugs into the TV. I think it will be used because it is cheaper and / or easier than trying to operate a 120V to 24V power supply that fit into this TV very thin design.
